Chapter Six

~~~~~~~~~~
Helena screamed, hands buried in Roma’s long, dark hair.
Roma’s tongue drove deep into the blonde’s wet center, over and over and over again.
Helena screamed again, and, with a bone-rattling convulsion, she collapsed back against the kitchen tiles.
They had moved from the guest room to the shower in the guest bathroom to the living room, the master bathroom, and, now, the kitchen.
Dawn sunlight flooded through the east-facing windows.
Helena sat on the kitchen counter, slumped against the tiles.
Roma sat on a chair in front of her, panting and smiling.
“So,” Roma said a little smugly, “tired of it yet?”
Helena shook her head.
“No,” she admitted. “No. But… Roma, I think I need to sleep awhile.”
“Thank God,” laughed Roma. “Because you taste so good, Helena, but I can’t do that again for awhile. I think I sprained my tongue.”
“If you did, it was worth it,” Helena panted. “Are you sure you were a virgin?”
“Yes.”
“Then how do you know what to do?”
“Instinct,” said Roma. “Pure instinct.”
She stood up, feeling giddy and beautifully worn out, like she felt after a good long run around the lake. She held out her hands to Helena.
“Come on.”
“Don’t you have to work?” asked Helena.
“Monday’s my day off.”
Helena smiled.
“Come here.” Roma scooped Helena into her arms.
“Carry me upstairs,” Helena commanded.
“But your bedroom is right-“
“No,” Helena said firmly. “We’re not sleeping in the master bedroom.”
“But the other night-“
“We just held each other the other night. We weren’t lovers yet. This is different.”
“Yes. True,” Roma conceded.
She carried the blonde up the narrow staircase, dropped her onto the bed. Roma lay down next to Helena, instantly wrapping her arms around the older woman.
“So, I want to hear you say it,” Roma said drowsily.
“Say what?”
“That it isn’t like cake.”
“It isn’t like cake.”
“That you’ll never get tired of it.”
“I’ll never get tired of it.”
“That we’re going to find a way to be together.”
Helena was silent.
“Helena-“
“Shh,” said the blonde. She held Roma tightly. “I can’t make promises, Roma. Just sleep with me now. Sleep and we’ll talk when we wake…”
